What we collect, and what we don’t.

Softrear is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any question about the policy, or to exercise any right listed below, contact hello@softrear.com and it will reach a person, not a queue.

• What you send us through the contact form: your name, work email, the timeline you give and what you tell us about your project.
• What you send us by email.
• Nothing else. This site runs no analytics, sets no cookies of its own, and loads no third-party scripts.
• Standard server logs kept by our host, including IP address, for security and troubleshooting.

• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us.
• We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking pixels on this site.

For enquiries, our lawful basis is legitimate interest — you contacted us about work and we need your details to reply. For anything we keep afterwards, it is either contract performance or your consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

• Enquiries that do not become projects: 12 months, then deleted.
• Client project records: for the life of the contract plus 7 years where tax or regulatory rules require it.
• Server logs: 90 days.

Our hosting provider and our email provider process data on our behalf under contract, and nobody else does. The current list of those processors and where they operate is available on request. We do not transfer personal data across a border without an appropriate safeguard in place.

• Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
• Ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Complain to your data protection authority. Email hello@softrear.com first and we will try to resolve it.

If this policy changes materially we will note the date here and, where it affects an active client, tell you directly. Last updated: 11 September 2026.
